Universal Studios Resort Announces New Ticket Option

Florida residents have a new option to save some serious cash at Universal Orlando Resort thank to a new ticket option announced on Thursday, July 9.

"It’s good to be a Florida Resident! Visit Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure as often as you want with a Park-to-Park ticket, now through Dec. 16, 2026. Whether it’s summer days or holidays, thrills are waiting," says the website for Universal Orlando Resort.

This ticket retails for $199 plus tax, and must be purchased online. Unlike a traditional annual pass at Universal Orlando, it does not include a discount on parking or on purchase throughout the parks — but also does not have any blackout dates until it expires on Dec. 16.

A one-day park-to-park ticket for Universal Orlando begins at $179.99 and can vary by date, meaning this new offer represents a significant savings for Florida residents who may not want to commit to a full-year annual pass.

Annual pass differences

Florida residents can purchase an annual pass at Universal Orlando Resort for $325, but this pass has the entire month of July, part of November, December, and January blocked out.

The most expensive annual pass, the "2-Park Premiere Pass," costs $790 for Florida residents. Like the new Florida resident offer, this pass does not have any blackout dates.

The premiere pass includes free prime/valet parking, an "express" pass after 4 p.m., plus additional discounts on hotels, events, food, and merchandise.

Epic Universe still not included

None of Universal Orlando Resort's annual passes, or the new "unlimited" ticket, include access to its newest theme park, Epic Universe, or its water park, Volcano Bay.

Tickets for Epic Universe can be purchased for either a single day or as part of a multi-day package. Discounts are available for annual passholders.
